The Worst Acclaimed-Film Ever

MOVIE: SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

MY TAKE: It's in the title of this post

My Rating: 6/10

Unreal story.
Mediocre acting.
Out of place music.
Poor direction.
Pathetic script.
This sums up the movie for me.
If the movie is based in Mexico or Brazil, I could have liked the movie because i don't know anything about these countries. But it's based in India and the movie is pure fantasy, nothing realistic is shown.

The first negative point is language used in the movie. What is that about? I don't understand why the characters in the movie speak english. If they have to make an english movie why do they need those hindi bits and the funny accent. Theere is no depth in characters.

There are many loopholes in the script.
  1. An Indian who doesn't know that pictures of Gandhi are on indian currency but knows that the picture of Benjamin Franklin is on Dollar.
  2. Why would Salim help Latika at the end?
  3. Jamaal is extraordinary in English and keeps upto date information. He can answer any questions that is thrown to him. How?
  4. Yet he doesn't know "Satyameva Jayate" is on our coins, gandhi on our currency. Strange

This movie is mediocre. Golden globes and Oscars don't change that fact.

  2. I think u like those moviz which r based on the realistic story....moviz r not only to made on realistic story.it is made to entertain people whether it is fantasy or real story .
Many indian people does nt like this movie bcoz they know all the fact but this movie entertain the western people thats why it got oscars, golden globe, wagera -wagera.
All the loopholes u have written above r different frm the general thinking which can attract the people & this might be 1 reason to entertain people.
